For commercial and medium to high risk residential premises we always recommend and encourage our clients to consider a police response. In many cases it is an insurance company requirement.. A Police response requires the burglar alarm system to be connected to an ARC

Police services in the UK only respond to “confirmed” alarm signals from alarm systems allocated a Police Unique Reference Number (URN). The aim is to provide an effective alarm response to genuine Intruder and CCTV alarms, throughout Milton Keynes and the Home Counties.

Alphasec is a certified installer of home security Intruder and CCTV systems in accordance with the National Police Chiefs Council (NPCC) and will obtain URN for systems we have installed.

Not at Home? Notify a friend, neighbour or family member to attend when you are not available.

A monitored burglar alarm is essentially a burglar alarm system that is monitored 24/7 by a certified security monitoring provider, monitoring your system for any alarm activations, taking action on your behalf.

When an alarm is triggered, it will send a signal to an alarm receiving centre (ARC), whose operatives will carry out the necessary procedures prescribed by you., This might include contacting your preferred key holder (neighbour, friend or family member). Contacting a private key holding company or security guard or concierge service.

NB: contacting the police is not an option pls refer to Lvl 1

Additionally, these can often be set up to provide "push notification" alerts to your phone usually via a "smart device".

In some cases the sound of an alarm siren sounding and dependent on your location and the general risk, many customers find an audible (bells only) Alarm system is adequate for their needs and is sufficient to summon support or assistance from local neighbour and community.

We believe this to be the entry level for low risk properties where you believe suitable and appropriate response can be achieved by raising an audible only alert.

It is estimated that 76% of British people admit to ignoring ringing home alarm systems. Its worth considering what happens if no-one’s there to action it?
